...a letter from your hosts Nancy and Elena

     We don't know but, by the end of 1999 we were like a couple of little kids on the playground wanting to somehow yell to all the other kids, "Hey you guys, come over here and look at this sandbox we found!" Our experiences for years before this were based on our interest in self evolution, you know that "there must be more than this!" dangerous thinking? We met in a Gurdjieff school, became best friends, and years after that, continuing the search, found the Amazon Herb Company ...natural rain forest botanicals, which led to an interest in shamans. Then thanks to that Bodhi Tree Bookstore, in 1999 a Gathering of Shamans on a mountain in Malibu lit the flames of our passion to share what we were learning, but how to do that? We were not out to convince people of anything but rather to "put it out there" with the hope that it would benefit some. The friends who shared the same desire to 'know' were not going to be enough, somehow we wanted to do more.

     Then a little magic happened, (Nancy) found a tiny old portable AM radio with dead batteries lost in a closet for years, and for kicks turned it on. Suddenly at that moment a man's voice said... "You can have your own radio show for the price of dinner for two at KNRY." He repeated the details and the radio went dead, there was just enough juice left for this one commercial to play in its entirety and it happened at just that moment in time...

It All Started In Historic Cannery Row, California

     Nancy took pause...     for three days. The choices were, mention this and take a wild ride to who knows where or keep quiet and not rock the comfort zone boat. Giving herself a little time to get control of her fears, she told Elena.

Deciding to at least check it out, and surely it would not be possible anyway! There would be obstacles... too expensive or the available time slot would be during the day when our jobs would make it impossible. Of course we were familiar with KNRY a local station on Historic Cannery Row since the 1930's. Once we went the doors didn't open, they fell off their hinges and we walked through each one unobstructed.

By June 2000 we were hosting our first terrestrial radio program, then under a different name, at the ancient studio on the very edge of the beautiful Monterey Bay even though an hour of air time cost as much as the most expensive "dinner for two" on the bay. With trepidation, we had our "Lighthouse."

     Then Nancy gets a Surprise!     Our very first program on June 1st, 2000 was with John Perkins, author (way before his book "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man") and co-founder of Dream Change Coalition with the message "The World is as You Dream It." This was appropriate as our experience with John's organization was mostly responsible for us being on the air. The very next program was with "Amazon John" Eastering founder and CEO of the Amazon Herb Company, (those Amazon Herbs we love!) We found these two Johns independently and it turned out they knew each other very well due to their interest in the rain forest and its peoples. "But that wasn't the surprise, little did I know that Elena was working on getting an interview with Dr. Deepak Chopra... Here we are on the radio for not even a month, nobody knows us yet and she managed to get him scheduled for a pre-record at the studio which then aired on July 13th, only six weeks into our radio hosting experience! I thought that was stunning, and it gave me a very important thought, that there was no limit to who we can talk to! The tiny beginnings to unlimited mind."

Expanding Our Horizons

     After a while we realized KNRY's signal only went about 50 miles over land, the rest of it covered all the sea life from the bay out to the pacific ocean, see the map here and you'll understand why we began looking into broadcasting on the Internet ...that could reach the world! KNRY didn't do audio streaming then, so we decided we could do it ourselves. Six months after we began at the KNRY studio we switched to streaming our programs to the Internet from home as well as over the air waves, it meant calling the station to do our show remotely to be able to connect it to the web from our computer system. We lost audio quality by being over the phone but that was a small price to pay in order to potentially reach anyone who could browse the web.

Then BAM! Here Comes Ramtha...

Who suddenly appears
on our path when we were contacted by RSE and did the interview with Linda Evans and Greg Simmons about Ramtha's School of Enlightenment in 2001.


           We * Were * Blown * Away!
The rest of the story is documented in "Our Journey to Ramtha" written as it happened with the people we met and the adventures we had including pictures. Suddenly we were on an extremely accelerated fast track to knowledge and evolution like never before, we were learning and experiencing so much we could not keep up with posting it on the website anymore! This letter to you generally fills in what happened before finding Ramtha, and now we will leave you with Elena's last entry after finding Ramtha:

     "We have attempted to write a bit more as our journey continues... but what to select? What parts to tell you about? ...it would take a book! So for now, we'll just say that Life is Awesome! Ramtha's school is Awesome! What we are creating, learning, discovering, and becoming, is everything, and much more than we had imagined might be possible. We are grateful for everything and everyone in our lives. Thank you for joining us on this journey, if through our program we can bring to you some of the wonder and possibilities offered by the gift of life, we will be happy and blessed indeed."
